The project, with a DPR cost of Rs 5.88 crore aims to transform the existing mandi into a hygienic, structured, and user-friendly market equipped with improved civic amenities and durable infrastructure.

The redevelopment plan includes the construction of a spacious MS (Mild Steel) covered shed designed to provide weather-protected vending space for traders.

The facility will house 117 vendor platforms, each measuring 1.8 m × 2.1 m, ensuring systematic and orderly market operations.

The shed area will be developed with Kota stone flooring, while vendor platforms will feature granite cladding and granite tops for durability, hygiene, and ease of maintenance.

A redesigned main entry gate with sandstone cladding will enhance the visual identity of the Sabzi Mandi, while modern public amenities including separate toilet blocks for men and women and drinking water cooler units will be installed for public convenience.

Movement and circulation areas will be developed using PQC (Pavement Quality Concrete) to withstand heavy pedestrian and light vehicular traffic, ensuring durability and reduced maintenance requirements.

Officials said the project focuses on improving market functionality through an organised layout, better accessibility, enhanced safety, and a more efficient shopping experience.

The use of quality construction materials is expected to ensure long-term sustainability and reduced upkeep costs.
