JAMMU, June 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed Dr. Syed Maqbool Ahmad Shah, Associate Professor, Cardiology, presently deputed to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, under suspension with immediate effect pending an enquiry into his conduct.
According to an order issued by M. Raju, Commissioner/Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, the action has been taken under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The order stated that pending enquiry into his conduct, Dr. Shah has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.
It further stated that during the period of suspension, Dr. Shah shall remain attached to the office of Government Medical College, Jammu until further orders.
Further action in the matter will be taken based on the findings of the enquiry being conducted by the competent authorities.
