JAMMU, Oct 29: Congress, under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, has increasingly lost touch with ground realities, with its repeated electoral setbacks reflecting a growing disconnect between its political narrative and the aspirations of the people, stated Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, J&K BJP Media Incharge.
Referring to the Congress party’s reported poor performance in the recent elections to 28 MLC seats across four states, Dr. Pardeep said that the opposition party must introspect instead of persisting with a politics that fails to address people’s concerns. He said that consecutive electoral disappointments should prompt Congress to reassess its leadership, priorities and approach towards public service.
Drawing a contrast between the Congress’s political record and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service, Dr. Pardeep said that PM Modi’s journey reflects a sustained commitment to national development, public welfare and the transformation of India. From his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister to leading the country as Prime Minister, Modi has consistently worked towards expanding opportunities, strengthening infrastructure and advancing the vision of a developed India.
“Today, the world looks at India with hope, confidence and growing respect. Under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as an increasingly important global partner, and Indians across the world take pride in their nation’s growing stature,” Mahotra said.
Dr. Pardeep asserted that the Congress’s continued political decline must be viewed against the backdrop of decades of family-centric politics, allegations of corruption and what he described as a lack of sensitivity towards ordinary citizens. He said that political parties cannot retain public confidence merely through criticism and slogans; they must demonstrate accountability, credible leadership and a commitment to public welfare.
Dr. Pardeep called upon the Congress and other opposition parties to draw lessons from electoral outcomes and adopt a constructive approach towards national development. He said that rather than obstructing progress for political gains, the opposition should contribute meaningfully to the collective mission of building a stronger, more prosperous and self-reliant India.
