R S PURA, Oct 17: Department of Zoology, GDC R. S. Pura organized a Two-day training program at Satya Shri Sai Health Care, R. S. Pura, on 16th and 17th Oct 2026.
The aim of the programme was to acquaint students with valuable hands-on experience in clinical biochemistry techniques. The training was part of the students curriculum and aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
The program was coordinated under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr. Preetpal Kour, and Dr. Anupama Pandotra, Head Department of Zoology.
About 30 students of semester Ist participated in the programme. The students were accompanied by Dr. Hari Singh and Dr. Ajaz Ur Rasool faculty of the Zoology Department. On 1st day of the programme a hand on training on basic pathological techniques including blood grouping, blood clotting, blood glucose, blood pressure, etc was conducted under the expert guidance and supervision of Nandni lab technician at SSHC.
On 2nd day an expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Harshit Malhotra Vascular Surgeon Consultant Max Super specialty Hospital New Delhi. The students were made aware of Coronary Vascular Diseases, Vascular Malformations, Emergency Vascular Trauma. The Training programme provided the students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their chosen field. GDC R.S Pura and the Department of Zoology acknowledged the support and coordination by Vikram Sharma in making the Training Programme a great success.
