He stated that Kichloo’s involvement demonstrated the party’s engagement with constitutional and legal processes to raise concerns relating to electoral affairs.
According to Bhagat, Advocate S. Prasanna represented the alliance before the Supreme Court in the proceedings.
The National Conference leader said that legal and constitutional mechanisms provided an appropriate forum for political parties to raise concerns and seek remedies on matters relating to the electoral process.
He added that the party would continue to participate in democratic and constitutional processes while raising issues it considers important for safeguarding democratic principles and public confidence in electoral institutions.
Bhagat reiterated that the National Conference remained committed to democratic values and the use of established legal channels to address matters concerning the electoral system.
