JAMMU, May 31: On the 4th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shaheed Rajni Bala, the dedicated teacher who was brutally killed by militants in Kulgam on 31 May 2022 while on her way to perform her duties, the All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir (AJBRCEAK) paid heartfelt tributes to the martyr and remembered her supreme sacrifice with deep emotion and respect.
Vipen Kumar, Chairman of AJBRCEAK, stated that Rajni Bala Ji’s sacrifice is not merely a painful memory but a constant reminder of the hardships and insecurity faced by Jammu-based reserved category employees posted in the Kashmir Valley.
The tragic killing of Rajni Bala sparked a year-long democratic protest at Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu, where employees united under the banner of AJBRCEAK and demanded a fair and comprehensive transfer policy. Despite years of struggle and repeated assurances, the transfer policy remains pending.
Expressing concern over the delay, Chairman Vipen Kumar said that the continued absence of a transfer policy has left thousands of employees disappointed and has raised serious questions about the commitment to address their genuine concerns.
The Association emphasized that the notification of the long-pending transfer policy would be the most meaningful tribute to the martyrdom of Rajni Bala Ji. Such a step would honour her memory and provide much-needed relief, dignity and security to employees serving under difficult circumstances.
Vipen Kumar further appealed to the Government to immediately notify the transfer policy and fulfil the demand that has remained unresolved since the tragic incident of 2022. He stated that justice delayed in this matter is justice denied to both the employees and the memory of Shaheed Rajni Bala Ji.
AJBRCEAK once again pays its humble homage to Shaheed Rajni Bala Ji and stands in solidarity with her family. The Association prays for eternal peace to the departed soul and reaffirms its commitment to continue pursuing the legitimate demands for which employees have struggled for years.
