JP World School hosts CBSE Workshop on Gender Sensitivity for Educators

JAMMU, May 30: JP World School organized a comprehensive CBSE workshop on Gender Sensitivity for teachers from the host school as well as various schools across Jammu. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 60 educators, reflecting the growing commitment of schools towards fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments.

The session was conducted by resource persons Bandhana Manhas, TGT, and Rashi Gupta, TGT, from Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu. Through interactive discussions, engaging activities, and real-life examples, the resource persons highlighted the importance of gender sensitivity in educational settings and emphasized the role of teachers in promoting equality, respect, and inclusiveness among students.

The workshop focused on understanding gender stereotypes, creating gender-neutral classrooms, addressing unconscious biases, and encouraging equal opportunities for all learners. Participants actively engaged in the sessions and shared their experiences and perspectives, making the workshop highly enriching and impactful.

The Principal of JP World School, Aparana Kohli, expressed her gratitude to the resource persons for their valuable insights and appreciated the participation of educators from different institutions. The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to incorporate gender-sensitive practices in their teaching and school culture.
