KATHUA, Oct 5: In a swift and coordinated action J&K Police Kathua sealed a Medical shop Near SDH Billawar for violation of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act following the recovery of an illicit drugs.
A telephonic Message received at P/S Billawar about a suspected consignment of illicit drugs. Acting promptly on information Police Party of P/S Billawar along with Drug Inspector intercepted the consignment.
Upon inspection the team recovered Pregablin capsules 300 Mg (Total 320 capsules) from the possession of Mahajan Medical Agency Near SDH Billawar. The recovered medicine was found to be without any supporting bills or vouchers, indicating a clear violation of law.
In light of findings, the said medical shop was sealed under Section 22 (d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 for unauthorized sale and possession of habit forming drugs.
