JAMMU, Sep 28: President, Traders Association Trikuta Nagar & Co- Converter Trade Cell BJP (J&k) And Prabhari Jammu City, Udhampur & Ramban Sh. Abhinav Anand, has appealed to President, Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu, Sh. Arun Gupta Ji, to take up the concerns of shop owners and ensure that traders are not unnecessarily harassed or subjected to avoidable inspections during the ongoing festival season.
Abhinav Anand said that the festive period is one of the most important business seasons for local traders, when shopkeepers make significant efforts and investments to meet customer demand. He urged that the concerned departments should adopt a facilitative and supportive approach towards the business community and avoid unnecessary disruption to legitimate business activities.
He further said that traders are always willing to comply with all statutory rules and regulations, but there should be a clear distinction between genuine enforcement and unnecessary harassment. Any inspection or action, wherever required, should be carried out strictly in accordance with the law and in a transparent and respectful manner.
“Festival season brings hope and economic activity to Jammu. Our shopkeepers deserve a peaceful environment in which they can conduct their businesses and serve the public. We appeal to the authorities to support traders rather than create unnecessary hurdles for them during this important period,” Abhinav Anand said.
He expressed confidence that Sh. Arun Gupta Ji, as President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu, would take up the matter with the concerned authorities and work towards ensuring a trader-friendly and hassle-free festive season for the business community.
