He said issues concerning employment, agriculture, economic opportunities, development, public infrastructure, border-area concerns and delivery of essential services required sustained political attention.
Highlighting the importance of RS Pura in the socio-economic landscape of Jammu, Sharma said the area has a strong agrarian base and its farming community faces several challenges, including weather-related crop losses, rising input costs, irrigation requirements and the need for better market opportunities.

He maintained that political organisations have a responsibility to maintain continuous contact with the public and ensure that local issues receive sustained attention.
“The strength of any political organisation lies in its grassroots workers and its ability to remain connected with the people. Our endeavour will be to further strengthen this connect and ensure that the concerns of the people are consistently highlighted,” Sharma said.
He called upon the newly inducted members to work collectively for strengthening the JKPDP organisation in RS Pura and remain in regular contact with residents.
