JAMMU, May 28: A high-level deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teacher’s Forum (JKTF) under the patronageship of Chief Patron Ganesh Khajuria met the Chief Education Officer, Jammu, in his office chamber and discussed several important issues concerning the teaching fraternity.
During the meeting, the delegation raised various burning issues including deployment of teaching staff in different institutions, deployment of staff for Census-2027 duties, sanction of one month Earned Leave for employees performing census duties during summer vacations, expediting One-Time Exemption cases and conduct of DPCs for different cadres, particularly Teacher to Master promotions.
The meeting proceedings were initiated by JKTF UT President Bharat Bhushan Sharma, while Chief Patron Ganesh Khajuria strongly advocated the demands of the teachers and employees. He stated that unjustified inter-cadre deployments would not be tolerated and urged the administration to immediately cancel such deployments.
Khajuria emphasized that if any institution in Jammu district requires staff, the requirement should be fulfilled from within the district itself. He also demanded that employees deployed for Census-2027 duties during vacations should be granted one month Earned Leave and proper orders should be issued to ensure the leave is entered into their service records.
