KULGAM, Sep 4: A man died after falling from a walnut tree in the Razloo kund area in south Kashmir kulgam district on Friday leaving the local community in shock and grief.
The deceased was identified as Ab Hamid Wani son of Mohammad Afzal Wani, a resident of Razloo, Kund.
Residents told Top news Correspondent Gh Nabi khanday that the incident occurred yesterday when Ab Hamid had climbed a walnut tree. He reportedly fell from the tree and sustained serious injuries.
He was subsequently shifted to a Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over Razloo kund village, with residents expressing deep condolences to the bereaved family. Locals also prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for the grieving family to bear the irreparable loss.
