GDC Bani organiges awareness programme on UDYAM JAGRITI 5.0 Hackathon under Mission YUVA

BANI, Sep 3: Government Degree College (GDC) Bani today organised an awareness Programme on UDYAM JAGRITI 5.0 Hackathon under the flagship initiative Mission YUVA, UT of J&K under the guidance of our esteemed Principal Prof. (Dr.) Neena Gupta The programme witnessed huge and enthusiastic participation of college students.

The programme commenced with aFormal welcome address by Dr J S Soodan, Director (PE & S) and Nodal Officer Mission Yuva, GDC Bani.

In his address, he has welcomed the Mission Yuva Project Officer Mukhtar Ahmad Mallik, Kajal Devi, Bussiness Help Desk (BHD) Coordinator Block Bani, Mission Yuva Committee Members Dr Resham Singh, Prof.Vishab Thapa, Dr Sunil Kumar, Dr Nisha Devi, NSS PO, GDC Bani, Prof Akash Zhutsi, Dr Shabir Ahmad Batt, Dr. Shamim, Dr. Fayaz and other guests present during the awareness programme.

The Programme commenced with an insightful awareness lecture by Mukhtar Ahamd Mallik, Project Officer Mission Yuva. In his lecture he has clearly demonstrated the students with the objectives, significance, and opportunities offered through the UDYAM JAGRITI 5.0 Hackathon.

The resource persons highlighted the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and startup culture among the youth, while motivating students to actively participate in the hackathon and transform their innovative ideas into impactful ventures.

The entire event was organised by Mission YUVA, committee members GDC Bani under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Neena Gupta.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the Mission YUVA initiative and encourage them to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable career pathway.

More than 100 students from different semesters actively attended an awareness lecture and interacted with the resource persons. The session generated keen interest among the participants, who appreciated the initiative and expressed their willingness to participate in the upcoming hackathon activities.

Speaking on the occasion the resource person advised the students to take active part in Udhyam Jagriti 5.0 registrations along with Idea Submission process.

The nodal officer reiterated the efforts of worthy Principal for the college’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and skill development among students in alignment with the vision of Mission YUVA and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Narinder Kumar HOD Dogri, expressing gratitude to the Principal for her constant encouragement and support, the resource persons for their informative deliberations, and the students for their enthusiastic participation, which contributed to the success of the event.

Among the faculty members present on the occasion were Dr Mulkhraj, Dr Sarita Bhushan, Dr Shamima, Dr Fayaz Ahmad, Dr Shabir Ahmad, Dr. Kirti Attri, Dr Neha Manhas, Racchpal Sharma, Himanshu Sharma were present.
