JAMMU, Sep 3: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Joint Secretary, Central Zone, M.K. Rana, today criticized the local BJP MLA for allegedly failing to provide adequate public transport facilities in the Nagrota Constituency despite repeated claims of development.
Addressing the public meeting at Panchayat Golda Block Mathwar, M.K. Rana highlighted the fast-paced development being carried out under the Omar Abdullah-led government, particularly in the fields of road infrastructure, education and healthcare. He said that special attention is being given to improving roads and connectivity across Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, local residents strongly demanded the introduction of a regular bus service in Panchayat Golda, Block Mathwar. They said that the absence of public transport has created major difficulties in reaching schools, hospitals, markets and other essential services.
Rana assured the residents of Panchayat Golda that he would take up their demand for a regular bus service with the concerned minister and seek early action to address the issue.
