DPS Jammu students shine at District-Level Archery Championship

JAMMU, Sep 2: Students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu brought laurels to the institution with an outstanding performance at the District-Level Archery Championship, held at M.A. Stadium, Jammu, from August 24 to 26, 2026.

The young archers displayed remarkable skill, focus and determination, securing a total of five gold medals and one silver medal across different age categories. Nyra Gupta (VI-D) won one gold medal in the Under-11 category and one silver medal in Under-13, while Krishna Vasudev (VIII-J) bagged gold medals in both Under-13 and Under-15 categories. Ridhaan Singh (VII-I) added another gold medal in the Under-13 category.

Adding to the achievement, all three talented students have been selected to represent Jammu district at the State-Level Archery Championship. Their selection marks another significant milestone in their sporting journey and reflects their dedication and hard work.

The management of DPS Jammu, under the leadership of Ajatshatru Singh, President-RCT; Dr. Ritu Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson; and S.S. Sodhi, Director, along with Ruchi Chabra, Principal, and the staff, congratulated the young achievers on their commendable performance.

The school management expressed pride in the students’ achievement and appreciated Balram Singh, School Archery Coach, for his dedicated training, guidance and efforts in preparing the students for competitive archery. The school wished the three young archers success in the upcoming State-Level Championship.
