DODA, Sep 1: Government Higher Secondary School, Koti, organized a rousing farewell ceremony to honor Mohd Abdullah Batt Laboratory Assistant, who retired after 26 years of dedicated service to the department.
The event, held in the school premises was attended by the Principal, teaching staff, non-teaching employees, and students.
Many prominent personalities including Tanvir Ahmed Wani retired principal, M Ayaz Iqbal Mughal retired principal, Rehmatullah Dev retired principal, Dr Imtiyaz Asad senior lecturer, Om Parkash Teacher, Mohd Abdullah senior citizen and social worker, Talib Hussain retired Head Assistant and others.
The function began with a warm welcome extended to the outgoing staff member.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers praised Abdullah’s commitment to duty and his invaluable contribution to the education department over the years. Colleagues and students shared heartfelt memories, expressing gratitude for his dedication and sincerity and extended warm wishes for his post retirement life.
Abdullah was felicitated with a memento, and shawl as tokens of love and respect.
In his emotional farewell address, the retiring lab assistant thanked the school family for their support and affection, describing the institution as his second home.
The event left everyone with mixed emotions as the school bid a tearful goodbye to a beloved member of its family.
