Lanter Ceremony held at modern four-storey Gaushalla Bhawan at Amphalla

JAMMU, Aug 29: The Jammu Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti organised the Lanter Ceremony of the first floor of the proposed modern four-storey Gaushalla Bhawan at Amphalla, Jammu, on Saturday marking another significant milestone in the construction of the ambitious project.

The sacred ceremony was performed under the presence of Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Jammu East, whose continued encouragement and support have been acknowledged by the Samiti.

Speaking on the occasion, Raj Kumar Gupta, President, Jammu Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti, said the Bhumi Pujan and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the proposed Gaushalla Bhawan had earlier been performed under the guidance of Yudhvir Sethi.

He said the successful completion of the first phase and the Lanter ceremony of the first floor reflected considerable progress towards completing the project.

Gupta said the modern four-storey Gaushalla Bhawan was conceived in view of the growing need for safe, spacious and better accommodation for cows. The existing infrastructure, he said, was gradually becoming inadequate for providing proper shelter and systematic management of the cows under the care of the Samiti.

He added that the completed complex would provide improved accommodation with better ventilation, cleanliness and hygienic surroundings, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for the Gaumata. The facility would also strengthen the Samiti’s capacity to provide proper care, protection and essential services for cows.

Office-bearers and members of the Samiti expressed gratitude to Yudhvir Sethi for sparing his valuable time and gracing the auspicious occasion, saying his presence and blessings had encouraged their continued efforts towards Gau Sewa and Gau Raksha.

The Samiti also expressed gratitude to its members, donors, devotees and well-wishers whose cooperation is contributing to the realisation of the modern Gaushalla project.

Raj Kumar Gupta also conveyed heartfelt thanks to Pawan Kumar Shastri, President, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, for his valuable guidance and continued encouragement.

Prominent members present on the occasion included Raj Kumar Gupta (President), Sarveen Kumar Sharma (Vice President), Sahil Sharma (Vice President), Vinay Kumar (General Secretary), Naresh Gupta (Secretary), Ashwani Kumar (Treasurer/Cashier), Suraj Sharma (Building Incharge) and Kuldeep Krishan Sharma (Gaushalla Incharge).

The Samiti reaffirmed its commitment to completing the project with continued cooperation and support from the people of Jammu and all those associated with the cause of cow welfare.
