KATRA, Aug 27: Government Degree College (GDC), Katra, in collaboration with its National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, organised the live streaming of the Khelo India Dialogue on Thursday, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and NSS volunteers.
The programme was organised under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat with the objective of encouraging students to engage with the vision of Khelo India and understand the importance of sports, physical fitness, discipline, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle.
The live-streaming session provided participants an opportunity to witness the dialogue and gain valuable insights into the promotion of sports and greater youth participation in the country. Students and NSS volunteers attended the programme with keen interest and enthusiasm.
The event highlighted the important role of educational institutions in nurturing sporting talent and fostering a culture of fitness and active participation among young people.
The college administration appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit in facilitating the programme and emphasised that such initiatives provide students with meaningful opportunities to connect with national-level campaigns and programmes focused on youth development.
Faculty members present during the event included Dr. Usha Sharma, Prof. Shikha Bhasin, Dr. Harmeet Kour, Prof. Nasar, Prof. Ajay and Prof. Yonus Salem.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness, teamwork and active citizenship among the students of GDC Katra.
