Talla Jewellers conducts drug awareness programme at Udhampur under Project MAKE

UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: Talla Jewellers, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has undertaken the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign under Project MAKE, aimed at creating awareness among school students about the growing menace of drug and substance abuse. The initiative is being implemented by Live For Others – Being Helpful Foundation (LFO-BHF) across Jammu and Udhampur districts, with the support of the District Administration, Udhampur and CEO, Udhampur.

As part of the campaign, LFO-BHF organised Drug Awareness Programmes at Government Girls High School, Garhi, and Government Higher Secondary School, Garhi, where Vivek Parihar, Director & CEO, LFO-BHF, interacted with students and sensitised them about the physical, mental, educational and social consequences of drug abuse. He encouraged students to make responsible choices, stay away from harmful substances and focus on education and positive personal development.

The programmes reached approximately 580 students, including 150 students from Government Girls High School, Garhi, and 430 students from Government Higher Secondary School, Garhi.

The campaign is being conducted in a minimum of 25 schools in each district, combining drug awareness with educational support. Under the initiative, 15 school bags along with stationery and essential educational items will be distributed to 15 deserving/underprivileged students in each participating school i e 30 school bags and 30 stationery kits.

The initiative reflects Talla Jewellers’ commitment to education, youth empowerment and community welfare, with LFO-BHF taking the campaign to students at the grassroots level. It aims to contribute towards building a healthier, educated and drug-free Jammu & Kashmir, while strengthening educational support for underprivileged children.
