JAMMU, Aug 21: MLA Jammu East Constituency Yudhvir Sethi on Friday inaugurated the construction of walls and allied works for the Community Hall/Yatri Bhawan at Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, Dhammi, Jagti Block, Nagrota, Jammu. The project is being executed under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 45 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that the development of community infrastructure was essential for strengthening facilities available to local residents and pilgrims.

He said the Community Hall/Yatri Bhawan would serve an important social and public purpose and provide a useful facility to people visiting the temple as well as residents of surrounding areas.

Sethi appreciated the efforts of those associated with the temple and local community in promoting welfare-oriented initiatives. He said that development works undertaken through the CDF Scheme would continue to focus on the genuine requirements of people and improving basic facilities at the grassroots level.

A significant social welfare initiative was also announced by the management of Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, which decided to provide the newly developed hall free of cost for the marriage ceremonies of poor girls. The initiative was welcomed as a meaningful step towards supporting economically weaker families and promoting community welfare.

During his visit, Yudhvir Sethi also interacted with residents of Bajalta Mandal and listened to their problems and concerns. The residents apprised him of various issues requiring attention and intervention.

Yudhvir Sethi assured them that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned authorities and that all possible support would be extended for their timely resolution.

He stressed that regular interaction with people was necessary to understand their requirements and ensure that development and welfare measures reached those who needed them the most. He also urged local representatives and community members to remain actively engaged in identifying issues affecting residents.
