Health Department Doda felicitates NQAS and Kayakalp achievers on 80th Independence Day

DODA, Aug 15: On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, the Health Department Doda organized a felicitation programme at the Conference Hall of the CMO Office, Doda, to honour health facilities that achieved distinction under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) and Kayakalp Programme for the financial year 2025–26.

The programme was aimed at recognizing and appreciating the dedicated efforts, outstanding performance and commitment of health facilities towards maintaining quality standards, strengthening patient care and improving the overall delivery of healthcare services across the district.

The programme was graced by Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr Vinod Sharma, along with Dy. CMO Doda Dr Sat Lal Manhas, BMO Bhaderwah Dr Versha Sharma and BMO Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor. Staff members of the CMO Office and Incharges of the award-winning health facilities were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, the CMO Doda, along with other dignitaries, felicitated the award-winning health facilities with appreciation certificates for their commendable performance under the Kayakalp Programme. The facilities included CHC Bhaderwah, PHC Assar, PHC Bhagwah, SC Kilhotran, SC Dharweri and SC Paryote.

AAM Sub-Centre Shaya was also felicitated for successfully qualifying for National NQAS Certification, marking a significant achievement in the district’s pursuit of quality healthcare.

Appreciation certificates were also presented to other health facilities that demonstrated commendable performance, including SC Bharthi, SC Jathi, SC Chatta, SC Malwas, SC Gangatha, SC Hanch, SC Panjsoo and SC Bhagwah.

Speaking on the occasion, CMO Doda Dr Vinod Sharma congratulated all the awardees and appreciated the dedication and hard work of the healthcare teams. He said that the achievements under NQAS and Kayakalp reflect the collective commitment of health personnel towards providing safe, patient-friendly and quality healthcare services.

Dr Sharma emphasized that quality certification should not be viewed merely as an award but as a continuous process of improvement. He urged all health facilities to maintain the standards achieved and continue working towards further improvement in patient care, cleanliness, infection control, documentation and service delivery.

The CMO further appreciated the BMOs, Medical Officers, paramedical staff and support staff for their coordinated efforts and said that such achievements bring recognition to the entire health department and inspire other facilities to strive for excellence.

He reiterated the department’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, improving service delivery and ensuring that people across the district have access to quality healthcare services at their doorstep.

The programme concluded with appreciation of the awardee facilities and their teams for their exceptional contribution towards strengthening the health sector of District Doda.
