JAMMU, Aug 11: The NSS Unit of Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) organised a Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Naya Bharat Viksit Bharat” today, under the guidance of Principal Prof. Sameeru Sharma, who also encouraged the students to participate wholeheartedly in the activity.
The competition was organised with the objective of providing students with a creative platform to express their ideas and perspectives while spreading awareness about the significance of building a progressive, developed and socially responsible India. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their creativity, imagination and social awareness through thought-provoking posters and impactful slogans.
Through their artistic and literary expressions, the participants conveyed meaningful messages highlighting the aspirations of a new and developed India. The activity not only nurtured the creative talents of the students but also encouraged them to reflect upon their role as responsible citizens and contribute towards creating greater social awareness in society.
As part of the programme, a patriotic short film was also screened for the students of various engineering branches. The screening added a meaningful dimension to the event and further inspired students with a sense of patriotism, responsibility and commitment towards nation-building.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. Sameeru Sharma appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit for organising such purposeful and enriching activities. She encouraged the students to actively participate in programmes that promote social awareness, community engagement, creativity and responsible citizenship.
The coordinators of the event Dr. Raman Gupta and Dr. Heera Saini expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal, faculty members and participating students for their valuable support, encouragement and enthusiastic participation. Their collective efforts contributed significantly to making the programme a meaningful and successful initiative towards inspiring the youth for a New and Developed India.
