“Tiranga Embodies India’s Unity, Pride and Sovereignty”: Rekha Mahajan
SAMBA, Aug 10: Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu and Kashmir Vice President and Prabhari District Samba, Rekha Mahajan, participated in a grand Tiranga Rally organised by Ghagwal Mandal President Nishant Sharma in the Samba Assembly constituency under the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.
In a rally organised by Mandal President Ghagwal Nishant Sharma, Rashpal Verma State vice President,Former DDC Suresh Kumar Falli ,Mahila Morcha State General secretary Geeta Bhagat ,BJP workers, local residents and enthusiastic participants joined the rally and raised patriotic slogans, creating a spirited atmosphere ahead of Independence Day.
Addressing the gathering, Rekha Mahajan called upon citizens to participate wholeheartedly in the campaign and proudly hoist the Tiranga at their homes. She said the National Flag is not merely a symbol of India’s identity but also represents the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters and soldiers who dedicated their lives to protecting the nation.
“The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a powerful people’s movement that strengthens our emotional connection with the National Flag. Every household must proudly display the Tiranga and contribute to making this campaign a resounding success,” Mahajan said.
She added that the campaign promotes unity, patriotism and a shared sense of national responsibility among citizens, particularly the younger generation.
“The Tiranga inspires every Indian to place the nation above personal interests and work collectively for its progress. Our message is clear—Rashtra Pratham, Sadaiv Pratham: Nation First, Always First,” she asserted.
BJP J&K Vice President Rashpal Verma said the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan has transformed the celebration of Independence Day into a nationwide people’s movement. He urged citizens to hoist the Tricolour with pride and inspire younger generations to uphold the values of national unity, integrity and selfless service.
Former DDC Suresh Kumar Falli said the Tiranga represents the courage and sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and security personnel. He called upon people from every section of society to participate actively in the campaign and ensure that the National Flag flies proudly over every household in the region.
The 2026 edition of the nationwide campaign is being observed from August 9 to 17, encouraging citizens to bring the Tiranga home and strengthen their personal connection with the National Flag. Launched in 2022 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programme, the initiative has since evolved into an annual mass movement.
Ghagwal Mandal President Nishant Sharma thanked Rekha Mahajan, Rashpal Verma, Suresh Kumar Falli, Geeta Bhagat, party workers and local residents for their enthusiastic participation. He said the overwhelming response reflected the deep patriotic spirit of the people and assured that the campaign’s message would be taken to every village and household across the Mandal.
