POONCH, May 18: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, the Indian Army conducted a series of community outreach initiatives across Hill Dhok, Satharban and Harni, Poonch to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, addiction-free society.

The programme included a door-to-door awareness campaign and poster distribution drive at Hill Dhok, Satharban, Poonch where Army personnel engaged directly with families, educating them on the physical, mental, social and economic consequences of substance abuse. Informative posters carrying anti-drug messages, helpline information and motivational slogans were distributed and displayed at prominent locations to maximise public outreach. The campaign emphasised parental guidance, youth engagement in constructive activities and community vigilance as key measures to prevent the spread of narcotics.

Participants were encouraged to adopt a supportive approach towards affected individuals and seek rehabilitation without stigma.
