JAMMU/ SHIMLA, Jul 22: The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police party in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing profound grief over the martyrdom of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, the Governor paid heartfelt tributes to the brave policeman who laid down his life in the line of duty. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police personnel.
The Governor said that such cowardly acts of terror aimed at disturbing peace and harmony, especially during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, deserve the strongest condemnation.
Expressing confidence in the capabilities of the security forces, he said the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
Kavinder Gupta conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in this hour of grief.
