KATRA, Jul 16: Shriya Negi, daughter of Narinder Kumar and Shallu Negi and wife of Dharun Bazal, has been declared qualified for the award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
She worked on the thesis titled “A Study on Graph Parameters of Certain Molecular Structures” under the supervision of Prof. Vijay Kumar Bhat.
Her doctoral research on topological indices for carbon nanocones, silicon carbidestructures, and boron nanotubes has resulted in nine SCIE-indexed publications.
She is a DST-INSPIRE Fellow (2022–2026), a competitive national fellowship recognizingoutstanding early-career researchers.
During her PhD, she presented her research at several international conferences including ICRTAM, ICDMC–2023 at Manipal Institute of Technology and participated inworkshops on Graph Theory and Technical Writing.
