JAMMU, Jul 2: BJP OBC Morcha J&K UT President Braham Jyot Satti conducted an organisational meeting in Nowshera–Sunderbani district to review the functioning of the Morcha and chalk out strategies for further strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level.
The meeting witnessed the participation of district office bearers, mandal representatives and senior Morcha leaders, who discussed various organisational matters and reviewed the implementation of party programmes across the district.
Among those present were Capt. Ramesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar Naggi, Babu Ram Prajapati, Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Madan Lal, Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, Rajinder Gupta, Parshotam Gupta, Lal Singh, Ghani Shyam Raina and Rajinder Sharma, along with other district and mandal office bearers and party workers.
During the meeting, Braham Jyot Satti reviewed the ongoing organisational workshop and stressed the importance of maintaining updated records of every OBC Morcha programme on the party’s organisational portal. He directed all district and mandal office bearers to ensure that every activity, meeting, campaign and public programme is uploaded promptly so that organisational work is properly documented and monitored at every level.
A detailed discussion was also held on issues concerning the welfare of the Other Backward Classes. The participants strongly advocated for the inclusion of four traditional OBC communities—Potter (Prajapati), Teli, Dhobi and Barber (Nai)—within urban areas for the purpose of issuing OBC certificates.
Addressing the gathering, Braham Jyot Satti urged all party workers to work with dedication, discipline and commitment while strengthening the organisation from the booth level. He called upon every office bearer to maintain regular contact with the public, effectively implement the party’s programmes and ensure that the welfare initiatives of the government reach every deserving section of society.
He said that a strong organisation is built through continuous grassroots engagement and disciplined teamwork. Every OBC Morcha programme must be regularly updated on the organisational portal so that our work is effectively documented and reaches every level of the party. At the same time, we will continue to raise genuine issues concerning the welfare of OBC communities.
The demand to extend OBC certification benefits to the Potter, Teli, Dhobi and Barber communities residing in urban areas is a legitimate concern, and BJP OBC Morcha will continue to pursue this issue before the appropriate authorities.
