SRINAGAR, Aug 18 (Agencies): A team led by Tehsildar Kulgam inspected pharmacies and clinics in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday and closed medical shops violating laws.
Kulgam Administration is aiming to provide quality and effective medicine to the public, to carry on the mission a team inspected the medical shops around district hospital Kulgam, an official said.
Bilal Ahmad, Tehsildar Kulgam told Rising Kashmir, “We conducted inspections of Medical shops and clinics around District Hospital Kulgam, and during the inspections, two medical stores were closed on the spot, Al Dua Medicate and Usmania medicate, were violating laws and henceforth have been sealed,” he said. Adding, many other medical stores were issued show cause notice for violations of law.
The team is said to have been constituted on the special directions of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, a team of officers from Drug Control, Revenue, Municipality, headed by Tehsildar Kulgam have conducted a thorough inspection around DH Kulgam.
The official said, 12 drug samples were collected and dispatched for analysis to the pharmaceutical company Srinagar to ensure that safe and quality medicines are available in the market.
In addition, pharmacists were made cognizant of compliance with licence conditions and cautioned against unethical practices.
