JAMMU, Jun 9: Welcoming the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya from June 10, President Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir, Rajinv Mahajan on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court verdict favouring the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
“The Supreme Court’s decision has laid to rest all controversies related to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Now, both Hindus and Muslims can heave a sigh of relief as after several decades, an old contentious issue has been resolved,” he said adding that construction of Ram Mandir will also usher in a new era of development in Ayodhya. “Locals will get more job opportunities and traders’ business will also grow,” he said.
Mahajan termed the decision as tribute to late VHP leader Ashok Singhal who was one of the sturdiest pillars of the Sangh Parivar and was at the forefront of the Ayodhya movement which began in the 1980s.
