Srinagar man dies of COVID-19, JK toll 35

SRINAGAR, Jun 4 (Agencies): A 60-year-old man from Noorbagh area of Srinagar died of Covid-19 on Thursday at Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar taking the number of casualties in JK to 35.

Medical Superintendent CD hospital, Dr Saleem Tak said the man died around 11 am today.

He said the deceased was on ventilator and was in serious condition.

Earlier, the patient was referred from SMHS hospital two days ago after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

With the latest fatality, the death toll due to the novel coronavirus in J&K has soared to 35.

As per official figures, Srinagar has reported eight deaths, followed by Baramulla with seven, Anantnag five, Kulgam four, Shopian three, two each at Budgam and Jammu, one each at Kupwara, Bandipora and Udhampur.
