Sgr-Leh highway reopened after six days

SRINAGAR, Apr 19 (Agencies): Authorities reopened Srinagar-Leh highway for essential vehicles on Sunday afternoon.
An official said that 92 vehicles carrying essential commodities were dispatched to Kargil and Leh.
He added that on Sunday, 92 vehicles loaded with essential items were dispatched from Sonamarg.
Pertinently, the 434 km long Srinagar-Leh highway was closed six days ago due to fresh snowfall along Zojilla Pass due to which hundreds of vehicles including petrol and diesel tankers remain stranded at Sonamarg.
