Seeking merger of Dharmarth Trust temples with Shrine Board, employees continues on hunger strike

JAMMU, Jan 14: Demanding the merger of all Dharmarth Trust temples with Shri Mata Vaishno Dev Shine Board SMVDSB for their proper development and for early constitution of committee for the same, employees of Dharmarth Trust on Thursday continued their demonstration on 46th day at Ranbireshwar Temple here. The employees, including dozens of priests, assembled at at Ranbireshwar Temple under the banner of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) and raised slogans against Dharmarth Trust.
Protesters alleged that the trust management is taking up wrong policies and demanded a probe into the financial transactions.
Meanwhile, those, who sat on the chain hunger strike which entered 18th day today, include Bimla Devi, Savita Gargi, Pardeep, Pushpraj, William, Tilakraj, Rampal, Suresh Sharma and Baljeet Singh.
Today Shri Raghunath Mandir Sewa Samiti led by President Rajiv Mahajan distributed ration among the poor employees of Dharmarth trust on Maker Sankranti.
“We shall continue our agitation till our demands will be met by the UT administration,” he asserted and said that in future association is going to highlight the all misdeeds of Dharmarth Trust management.
Among others present in the strike were President Vivek Bandral, Ex-President Kernail Chand Thakur, ex-General Secretary, Pritam Sharma, Working President Rajinder Shastri, Sunit Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan, Deepu, Rinku, Makhnu, Jivan, Bushan, Sonali, Renu, Anju, Sheetal, Sonika, Sukeshni, Rita Salathia, Rekha, Harbans Lal, Surjeet Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Sahil Sharma, Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Reeta Salathia, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Rajani, Shobha, Nisha and Sonika.
