Secretariat Employees be allowed to work from Jammu: JPPF

JAMMU, Jun 5: Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) raised serious concern over the issue of Civil Secretariat employees regarding their movement to Civil Secretariat Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, the members of the Forum opined that the government should work out a mechanism (through IT) to allow Civil Secretariat employees hailing from Jammu province to continue their work from Jammu, and should allow them to remain in Jammu only.
JPPF further opined that shifting of employees during this period to Srinagar is not advisable and moreover it is not going to yield any positive result as functioning of secretariat is also not in full swing as public is also not visiting offices, rather it is going to put their life under severe danger because worsening situation of COVID-19 in Kashmir the cases are increasing drastically everyday comparatively therefore it is not advisable to send them to Srinagar.
