JAMMU, Jul 16: Raju Chandel, National General Secretary of Shri Amaranth Ji Yatra Welfare Society, highlighted the deep faith that Shiva devotees hold in Lord Shiva during a recent gathering. The influx of Shiva devotees from across the country and abroad resembles a grand Mahakumbh Mela of Shiv devotees in Jammu. It is expected that the number of devotees will exceed one million this year. The warm welcome extended by the society and its volunteers to all Shiva devotees visiting Jammu and Kashmir is aimed at boosting tourism and supporting local businesses, thereby generating employment opportunities.
Chandel expressed gratitude towards the Jammu and Kashmir administration for extending the yatra duration to 62 days, which has led to increased business opportunities for commercial shopkeepers and workers in the region.
