PDP leader Naeem Akhtar evicted from official residence

SRINAGAR, Jun 26: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former Cabinet Ministery Naeem Akhtar has been evicted from his official residence in Srinagar’s Gupkar Road.
“Officials of the Estates Department arrived at my official residence at around 11 am and put a notice asking me to leave by 4 pm, It was just a five-hour notice. I told them we are in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic and I have just my wife and daughter to help me pack up. But they made it clear that if I fail to move out, they may use other methods,” Akhtar said.
