JAMMU, SEP 28: National Daughters’ Day is dedicated and celebrated to honour the existence of the females. To commemorate this day, members of the IWC Jammu, New Gen, visited Louis Braille Memorial Residential School for Sightless Girls, Roop Nagar, Jammu.
The members of IWC Jammu, New Gen met and interacted with blind girls to make them feel special and make them realise that they are appreciated as the day defines the importance of girl child in our lives.
The club members pampered the girls with the gift packs containing iron rich food items to reduce the risk of iron deficiency (anemia) among the adolescent girls.
Anita Goel, President of the Club took the day as an opportunity to highlight the importance of girl child and narrated life stories of prominent women in our country. Secretary of the club, Ambika Samnotra thanked the management and the staff of the Institute for their co-operation.
