JAMMU, Apr 17 (Agencies): Jammu and Kashmir MeT Department on Friday said that moderate rain with thunderstorm will hit the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in next one week. “As expected, light rain occurred at some places of J&K where’s weather remained generally cloudy in Ladakh during past 24 hours,” the Weatherman said.
He said that currently, it is generally cloudy in all three regions with report of very light rain at isolated places of J&K.
“In next one week, intermittent light to moderate rain is most likely to occur at fairly widespread places of J&K and at isolated to scattered places of Ladakh region (mainly in Kargil districts) during April 17 to 19 with main activity during next 24 hours,” he added.
The Weatherman further said that during this period, there’s possibility of thunderstorm with strong gusty winds of the order of 30-40 KMPH at scattered places of J&K whereas weather likely to remain windy in Ladakh region.
“Overall, weather most likely to remain mainly erratic during next one week,” he said.
“Thundershower with strong gusty winds at isolated places of J&K during next two days,” he added.
