Mayor interacts with ex Municipal Councillors

JAMMU, Jan 30: To carry forward his commitment for Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation invited all the former Municipal Councillors of Jammu city at a function specially organized by him giving due respect to them.
He held brief interaction with all of the dignitaries who gave their valuable suggestions/feedback having vast experience of serving people of Jammu city.
Ashok Khajuria, Ex Councillor and former MLA/MLC, Rajesh Gupta Ex Municipal Councilor and MLA, Murari Lal, Ex Municipal Councillor, Manmohan Choudhary Ex Mayor, along with about fifty five Ex Municipal Councillors including female councillors belonging to different political parties were present during the function.
Ashok khajuria gave his valuable suggestions and shared his vast experience. Rajesh Gupta also said that there should be no party system after becoming public representative and all the elected councilors should work for the betterment of Jammu city irrespective of party wise which is key of his success and he has raised from councilor to MLA.
Manmohan Choudhary also gave his valuable suggestions which will help in enhancing revenue of the department in the long run. He also asked that there should be a library for old and senior citizens in each ward.
Jai Singh also spoke and appreciated the important work done in every field for last one year by Mayor JMC and he is doing the role of Chief Minister and welcomed the Govt for abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A .
He also suggested that there should be special development funds for newly extended wards.
Omi Khajuria, Ashok Singh Manhas, Ravinder Gupta, senior Ex Councillors also praised the Mayor for inviting them and getting their suggestions which shows his sincere commitment in making the City of Temples as a model city.
Pushpa Wazir, Lalita Sharma, Usha Choudhary, Rasheeda Bequm, Suresh Jamwal, Raj Rani Mahajan were prominent female Ex councillors also spoke and gave their suggestions and asking all the Ex Councillors to come forward & ready to cooperate in the field.
Bansi Lal Gupta Ex Councillor also suggested that in order to increase revenue unauthorised colonies of Nanak Nagar Nai Basti etc which were established since the last 40 years back may be regularized as done by central Govt in Delhi as well as tough norms of Building permissions be simplified to give relief to the people of Jammu city and raised the revenue of the department.
Mayor welcomed all the Ex Councillors and thanked them for giving their valuable suggestions and said that all these suggestions will be implemented in letter and spirit by him and his colleagues and by taking all the members into confidence and make Jammu really a Smart City in coming days and will work irrespective of any party for the betterment of Jammu.
