SRINAGAR, Nov 4 (Agencies): J-K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday said that he will work towards restoring full statehood and constitutional guarantees for the region.
Addressing the house on the first session of J-K Assembly, Sinha said that his commitment is a response to the trust of J-K people.
Sinha said, the government is dedicated to upholding the faith of J&K’s citizens in democratic institutions.
A resolution has also been passed regarding the statehood which echoes the voice of the people.
“My government will make full efforts for the restoration of statehood,” Sinha said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi have also made promised to give J-K its statehood back.
