LG Mathur visits Durbuk & Nyoma-Changthang

LEH, Feb 10: Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur visited the Durbuk and Nyoma Sub-Divisions of Changthang today. He was accompanied by Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Leh Gyal P Wangyal and Deputy Commissioner Leh Sachin Kumar.
Lt. Governor was presented the ceremonial Guard of Honour on his arrival at Durbuk and Nyoma Sub-Divisions.
At Durbuk, Lt. Governor was received by Executive Councilor Education LAHDC Leh Konchok Stanzin, Councillor Tangtse Tashi Namgial Yakzee SDM Durbuk, Sarpanchs, Nambardars, and Chairman Block Education Committee.
EC Konchok Stanzin, Councillor Tashi Namgial, public representatives of Sarpanch, and Nambardars of Durbuk, Panchayat halqa Shachukul, Tangtse, Chushul, Phulaks, Phobrang, and Kargyam met Lt. Governor with their representations.
At Nyoma, various delegations of Councillor Gyurmet Dorjey, BDC, Sarpanchs, Nambardars, religious representatives met Lt. Governor with their representations.
The issues raised at both places included Pashmina development, road & bridge connectivity, communication, health, education, communication, tourism, irrigation, drinking water, etc.
Lt. Governor gave a patient hearing to each delegation at both places and assured of looking into issues for suitable follow-up.
Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Leh Gyal P Wangyal said, unlike previous times, developmental works can be carried out without paucity of funds.
Later, Lt. Governor and CEC also visited the Primary Health Centre at Nyoma.
