JAMMU, May 24: J&K Freedom Fighter Association extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Urging the people to celebrate Eid with simplicity, Ved Gandotra, Chairman JKFAA said that the festival of Eid is a celebration of the spirit of sharing and brotherhood while praying for the peace, progress, prosperity and happiness of the J&K and its people. “I urge people to take extra care in view of the Covid 19 pandemic. The problem is surmountable provided all of us are united in our resolve to fight it out at all fronts,” he said.
Rajiv Mahajan, Vice Chairman, while extending warm wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr extended warm wishes to the people on the auspicious eve with a view that needs of the people at need are taken care of by the affluent ones. May the auspicious day increase the prospects of peace, prosperity, and brotherhood in J&K, he added.
“One of the most significant festivals that is celebrated by the Muslim community around the world, Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, especially the month-long fasting from sunrise to sunset. He further appealed to people to take precautions and maintain social distancing. “We should stay away from shaking hands and hugging. We should follow government’s guidelines,” Mahajan said.
RC Puri, President of the Association extended greetings and good wishes to the people of Muslim community and front line workers who have been working tirelessly day in, day out to combat the worst ever public health nightmare. He urged the affluent class in the society to help those who do not have any resource to celebrate the Eid.
Karnail Chand General Secretary, also extended warm wishes to people on Eid Ul Fitr.
