J&K Congress Delegation Holds Crucial Meeting with National Alliance Committee at New Delhi

NEW DELHI, Dec 29: In a significant development, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Congress leaders engaged in high-level talks with the National Alliance Committee (NAC), a five-member panel tasked with exploring potential alliances ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Chaired by Mukul Wasnik, the NAC comprises prominent leaders such as Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Bhagel, Salman Khurshid, and Mohan Prakash.

The meeting, held to deliberate on strategic alliances with other political entities, saw key figures from the Jammu and Kashmir Congress in attendance. BharatSing Solankee, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) In-charge for J&K, played a pivotal role in leading the delegation. Accompanying him were Vikar Rasool Wani, President of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Tariq Hameed Karra, a member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), and Manoj Yadav, Joint Secretary at AICC.

Senior Congress leaders from J&K Peerzada Mohd. Sayeed, former PCC Chief, Tara Chand, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister, and Yogesh Sawhney, Former Minister of Jammu and Kashmir were present at the meeting as well. The diverse representation underscored the comprehensive approach taken by the Congress in navigating the complex political landscape of the region.

During the discussions, the leaders explored avenues for collaboration and potential alliances that could shape the political dynamics leading up to the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The deliberations centered on forging partnerships with like-minded political parties to consolidate a strong front.

Leaders present at the meeting discussed and developed strategy to represent issues of J&K and amplify people’s voices. The discussions also expressed strong opposition to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) attempts to destabilize India’s federal and secular structures. They asserted that such endeavors would no longer be accepted by the masses.
