Amit Shah, LG J&K and other leaders pay tribute to Maharaja on his Birth Anniversary

JAMMU, Sep 23 : Jammu-the winter capital of Union Territory (UT) of J&K, today bustled with enthusiasm with processions on most of the streets in connection with the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.
Processions were taken out from various areas in the city to commemorate the birth anniversary of the last Maharaja of Dogra dynasty.
Enthusiasts , mostly youth, were attired in multi-coloured dresses and headgears and many of them were carrying swords .They raised slogans like “Maharaja hari Singh Amar Raheey”.
Many of the leaders of different political and social organisations along with their supporters paid tributes to Maharaj Hari Singh on his birth anniversary at Tawi Bridge , Jammu and welcomed the declared holiday today.
However, MK Ajatshatru -the grandson of Maharaj Hari Singh (who is also senior BJP leader and former minister) paid obeisance at Bahu Fort temple in the city.
BJYM had organised musical night to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh in Jammu. On the occasion, MP Jammu Jugal kishore Sharma , J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina , former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta , BJYM president Arun Prabhat and others were also present.
Union Minister Amit Shah paid tributes to Maharaja hari singh on his birth anniversary, who was the last Maharaja of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“I bow to the symbol of nationalism Maharaja Hari Singh Ji on his birth anniversary .PM Modi has paid a true tribute to him by declaring his birth anniversary as a state holiday to commemorate his efforts to make Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India and to keep the country’s integrity intact”, Shah

maharaja Hari Singh was born on September 23, 1895.Earlier on September 15, the announcement was made by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha following his meeting with a delegation comprising prominent political leaders, members of Yuva Rajput Sabha and civil society members at Raj Bhavan.
Lt. Governor of J&K has also extended greetings on the birth anniversary of Maharaja hari Singh Ji. Manoj Sinha took to twitter and wrote that Maharaja Hari Singh was praiseworthy educationist, thinker, social reformer and a towering man of manifold ideas and ideals.
Manjo Sinha further added that Singh’s story of life , which is embedded with lots of contributions, continues to inspire people.
