JAMMU, Dec 29: All J&K OBC Mahasabha, All India Backward Classes Federation JK-UT unit and All J&K OBC Welfare Forum and Presidents of different castes and communities under the banner of OBC Adhikar Tringa Yatra thankful to Narinder Modi, Prime Minister for start of fulfilling their commitments made in Sept-2014 in public rallies during Jammu & Kashmir Assembly election at Mulana Azad Stadium Jammu & at Hiranagar regarding OBC 27% reservation in JK-UT Govt. services, Educational Institutions and Urban Local Bodies and in Panchyati Raj System.
The startup is Changing Nomenclature from JK-UT Weak & Under Privilege Classes (Social Castes) to Other Backward Classes (OBC) and making amendment in the Panchyati Raj System regarding OBC reservation. We are also highly thankful to Manoj Sinha LG JK-UT for giving it a practical shape keeping in view the Indian constitution Article 243D-6 and 243T-6 and Supreme Court Judgement dt.10.05.2022 on writ petition No:-278 of 2022.
Now we are in hope that The Modi Govt. will soon make an amendment in Municipal Corporation/Committees Act-2000 regarding OBC reservation as per OBC population in JK- UT and also 27% reservation in JK-UT Govt. services and in educational Institutions.
Modi Govt. & Manoj Singh L.G comes into action after all the OBC organisations of UT decided to unite Under one umbrella Q.B.C.ADHIKAR TRINGA YATRA during the year 2021 when these organisations started first four days OBC Adhikar Tringa Yatra on 25th Sept. 2021 towards villages & Towns of District Jammu-Samba-Kathua to hold Protest rallies and after that the OBC Samaj continued their struggle in 2022 & 23 in other areas of Jammu & Kashmir regions. The organizations also submitted objections to the CHIEF ELECTION OFFICER OF JR-01 and clection commission of JK-Ui on a Sept.2023 and also eld protests on 8th & 12th Sept.2023 against the notification dt.4th sept.2023 for holding the elections of Municipal corporations/Municipal committees/Town Area committees & Panchyati Raj System and Govt.was compelled to suspend this election till OBC reservation till incorporate of OBC reservation in Municipal Act-2000 & Panchyati Raj Act.
We request to Prime Minister and L.G JK-UT to implement all the OBC reservation issues at an earliest i.e before the parliament election- 2024.
The JK-UT OBC organisations will carry on their struggle under the Banner of OBC ADHIKAR TRINGA YATRA for their fundamental constitutional rights by holding Adhikar Rallies in all the villages/towns/cities.
