Four cricketers spent 8 lakh to construct turf wicket in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Dec 25 (Agencies): With the selection of a few locals in IPL and national cricket team, more and more youth get inspired towards cricket and turf wickets are being prepared so that local cricketers can compete at mega stages.
Four cricketers namely Charag Aamir, Khurshid Allaie, Aamir Magray and Suhail Reshie have spent around Rs 8 lakh in Marhama area of Bijbehara for levelling the ground to ready the turf wicket.
Quoting Charag Aamir news agency KNO reported that whenever Kashmiri cricketers go for trials, they are unable to put any impression as they were being tried at turf wicket when they had a habit of playing on mats.
“There is no dearth of talented players but we lack turf wickets in Kashmir,” he said.
Aamir said that turf wicket is one of the main things which local youth were eager to experience so that they won’t face problems once they will go for trails.
