Five killed in road accident at Ghagwal

SAMBA, Feb 20: Five persons were killed on Thursday when their car bearing regd No JK01F-1361 rammed into a stationary truck bearing No JK08D-1504 on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway in Samba district.
The accident took place at Swangha Morh in Gagwal area when the car driver lost control and hit the truck parked on the roadside around 5:30 AM.
All the five occupants of the car were rushed to District Hospital Samba where doctors declared all the five injured persons brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Arjun Singh, 85, son of late Chanda Singh, resident of Digiana Ashram, Sahibjeet Singh, 20, son of Manjeet Singh, resident of Digiana Ashram Jammu, Manjeet Singh, 55, son of Lt Inder Singh, resident of Khalsa Chowk Nanak Nagar, Darshan Singh, 80, son of Chanda Singh, and Darshan Kour, 65, wife of Darshan Singh, resident of Majoor Nagar, Srinagar.
