FFMA pays tributes to Sardar Patel, Indira Gandhi

JAMMU, Oct 31: Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) organized a function under its Chairman, Rajiv Mahajan and Patron-in-Chief, Ved Gandotra to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Iron Man and the architect of Modern India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Floral tributes were paid to the great leader and the re-shaper of Modern India. A two-minute silence was also observed.

Speaking on the occasion, the members praised Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s farsightedness and authoritarian power, that he met all the heads of the princely and got all the state merged as one great, sovereign Indian State.

Chairman Rajiv Mahajan said that Vallabhbhai Patel contributed significantly to strengthening the cooperative movement in the country, adding that the country’s first home minister dedicated himself to the welfare of farmers.

FFMA also remembered former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s death anniversary and paid tribute on this day.

Gandhi created history by providing an able and dynamic leadership to the country and was acknowledged a strong and visionary leader in the world, Rajiv Mahajan said adding that she was truly the leader of the all sections of plural Indian society and stood by her principles and laid down her life for the same, Speakers maintained.

Other members present were R.C Puri and Prof S.S Bhalwal, Karnail Chand, Parbhat Kapahi, Ravinder Mittal, Pritam Sharma.
