EOW CB Jammu arrests two absconders after 3 years

JAMMU, Jul 22: Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Jammu apprehended two absconders accused namely Satvinder Singh, son of Malkit Singh, resident of Kaisupura Kutta Bud Enllabad District Sirsa Haryana and Rajeev Bharanatti, son of late Bosavraj Bharattti, resident of at present Flat No-104 Mahavir Darshan Plot No 5A Sector 06 Kopar Khairanee, Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra).
The accused were arrested by two Special Teams of Crime Branch, Jammu from Haryana and Maharashtra, as both of them were at large and constantly changed their locations to dodge the police for avoiding the arrest, officials said.
Both the accused persons were absconding since the investigation of the cases, as such the charge-sheets were produced against them u/s 512 Cr.PC, officials said adding that the Court had accordingly issued arrest warrants against them.
Accused Satvinder Singh is involved in case FIR No. 38/2021 U/S 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC P/S CBJ for luring and duping unemployed youth for their overseas job placement and Accused Rajeev Bharanatti is involved in case FIR No. 16/2020 U/S 420 IPC P/S CBJ for defrauding complainant of Lakhs of Rupees, official said adding that THE absconders were on a run from one place to another to avoid their arrest, as the court had already issued arrest warrant to bring them to justice.
Expert Crime Branch teams were formed and deputed outside J&K to keep a track on the movement of the absconders.
