Dr. Rameshwar donates generator to Sheetla Mata Committee

BANI, SEP 27: ZMO PHC Koti Chandyar, Dr Rameshwar Singh on Tuesday donated a generator to Sheetla Mata Committee Kanda during a function here.
It is pertinent to mention here that there is no source of electricity in the area and the Committee had put up the demand for providing power supply to the area before the administration many times but nothing substantial happened in this regard till date.
While speaking on the occasion Dr. Rameshwar Singh said that in view of the absence of power supply to the two famous shrines of District Kathua including Doulha Mata and Jauria Mata visited by a large number of devotees during Navaratras, he decided to donate a generator to Sheetla Mata Committee Kanda.
He said that this Committee establishment being situated between Doulha Mata and Jauria Mata can cater to the power requirements of both the aforesaid shrines and asserted that these shrines witness heavy footfall of devotees during the Navaratras and they had to face lot of difficulty especially during hot and sultry days and the power supply from the generator would undoubtedly provide great relief to the devotees but also to those managing the affairs at the shrines even during late hours during night.
Dr Rameshwar Singh said that this area housing the two important shrines has virtually no road connectivity due to which the devotees have to reach this destination on foot, a journey that takes around 4 to 5 hours. He appealed the Administration to address the two significant issues of electricity and road connectivity in the area at the earliest.
Meanwhile he also assured the people of the area that he would continue contributing his bit towards easing the life of the people in this remote and far flung area of District Kathua.
