KISHTWAR, Jan 26 :The Republic Day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm, fervour and national spirit at Chowgan ground Kishtwar where the Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana unfurled the tricolor and took salute of the march past contingents from JKP, CRPF, CISF JKAP, FPF, NCC and scores of students from
various schools of the district.
Commander 9 Sector RR , Brig. Vikram Bhan, District Session Judge, Kishtwar, Sham Lal Lalhal, BDC Chairperson Block Kishtwar Suresh Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta, Commandant 7th Reserve BN CISF Dhananjay Nayak, CRPF Battalion Suresh Kumar ADDC Kishtwar Mohd.Hanief Malik, ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch, ACR Kishtwar Dr. Amir Hussain, ASP Nasir Ahmed,
President MC Kishtwar Riyaz Ahmed Zargar, besides other senior officers from civil and police administration, Army, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, Sarpanches, Panches, elected members of MC Kishtwar, prominent citizens, political leaders, social workers and large number of men, women and children were present on the occasion.
The whole programme was co-ordinated/anchored by the Master of ceremony Professor Tariq Tamkeen, Akhter Hussain Giri and Avni Sen.
Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana highlighted the importance of Republic Day and stated that it is the most significant
day in the history of India as on this day in 1950 our country adopted the world’s largest written constitution which laid foundation of democratic process and good governance in the country.
He further stressed for promoting national integration, communal harmony and peace.
In respect of the health Departmet 196 families have been provided with the benefits with Ayushuman scheme. The DH Kishtwar has been equipped with dialysis units. 453 free eye surgeries have been conduted.
The work related to the indoor stadium Kishtwar, SC hostel Kishtwar, Degree college Chatroo is in full swing and the executing agency have been directed to complete the process in the current year. Work of Degree College Paddar shall be started as and when weather will improve.
The work of the chatter gala bridge over Chenab river connecting the kuntwara has been completed under PMGSY scheme besides under PMGSY scheme the blacktopping of the various roads is in full swing. Moreover Forest clearance have received for various roads.
In respect of the R&B deptt under CRF, bye pass road (Dewaroo to Menthalan), Changam to Hasti near NH, Tagood to Vasdevna has been started- he added.
Besides this Black topping from km 0 to 3, have been made by the GREF authrities. Meanwhile realignment of Ishtiyari road have been executed for 9 km and remaining 3km shall be done in the next three months.
He further said that in PWD (R&B) sector construction of roads under NABARD /State plan/CRF is under process wherein 25 km road length has been achieved during current fiscal besides macdimization of 17 km roads stands completed in Kishtwar town and 07 km road in chhatroo .
Under PMGSY, R&B (PWD), CVPP he informed that Bhandrkoot bridge has been completed in totality, 90% work of Qaderna bridge completed.
33.83 Km fair weather road length has been achieved besides tenders have been invited for upgradation of 40 Km already existing roads.
Referring to PHE department he informed that in Naigad Water Supply Scheme with est. cost Rs. 53.15 Crs, pipelines in a total of 32 km track has been laid down besides this water flow testing of Naigadh WSS completed successfully besides work on other components viz filtartion plant, Over head tank (OHT), Ground Service Reservoir (GSR), clear water tank is in full swing and added that through this WSS there will be surplus availability of 5,00000 gallons/day of drinking water which will fulfill the deficiency of water problems of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas and bring solace to the people.
Further, added that foundation stone of Rs 995.58 lacs under Lachdayaram Water Supply Scheme has been laid down which will provide tapped water to the inhabitants of Lachdayaram area, besides
an additional water lifting facility with a cost of 5.00 crores for Kishtwar town and mandal area is underway under area development Plan of Pakal Dul HEP.
“Under Jal Jeevan Mission (Har Ghar Nal Se Jal) aimed at providing 100% tapped water to all households three blocks viz. Thakrie, Trigam and Drabshalla have been selected in first Phase -he added.”
Under Mega projects including Polytechnic College Kishtwar, Multipurpose Indoor Stadium Hall at GHSS Kishtwar, Degree College Kishtwar, SC hostel Degree College Paddar, 100 bedded girls hostel AR Chatroo and Sarthal inagurated, Tourism building at Paddar.
Referring to the Health department he informed that, a Modern Dialysis Unit becomes operationalization at District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar under PMNDP,
Health and Wellness centre made functional at DH Kishtwar under Ayushman Bharat for screening of non-communicable diseases, opening of Jan Ayushadi Kendra at DH Kishtwar besides this construction for new SDH Paddar started with estd. cost of Rs. 12.00cr, construction of additional 100 bedded District hospital at Kishtwar under way at cost of Rs. 16.00 Cr, construction of nursing College at est. Cost of Rs. 3.50 Cr, Construction of CHC Marwah completed up to ground floor slab level with est. cost of construction Rs. 7.00 Cr.
Further, other achievements including, as many as 453 free cataract surgeries at District Hospital Kishtwar, 8RBSK teams visiting the schools for screening of children 0 to 18 years, besdies 193 beneficiaries were given free treatment under (PMJAY) Ayushman Bharat.
He informed the participants that District Kishtwar had been recognized at National level under Beti Bachao Beti Padao Scheme for outstanding performance in awareness generation and outreach activities in the year (2018-19) and laid stress to all parents to give due attention for imparting education to female children and help in fulfilling the basic objective of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme.
He stated that govt is committed to provide tapped drinking water facilities to each and every household and further
appealed the general public of Kishtwar to make judicious use of water and take all the necessary measures for water conservation and harvesting so that each and every drop of water could be saved for the future generations.
Deputy Commissioner hailed the people of Kishtwar for maintaining peace and harmony in the district, maximum and overhelming participation in Lok Sabha and general elections 2019 in free, fair and peaceful manner besides for co-operarion in developmental activities.
Further in his speech DC Kishtwar highlighted the potential / talent of the youth in various field and stressed upon them to workhard and strive for the nation.
Cultural programmes displaying patrioatism , rich cultural traditions and ethos were presented on the occasion by the school children which mesmerized the audience. The main dance including thali dance, kud dance, Nagseni folk dance, Kalbelia tribal dance, Dori folk, Kashmiri dance etc.
Later, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar and SSP Kishtwar distributed trophies, commendation certificates and mementoes among the Officers/Officials for their exemplary services in different fields besides students for academic excellence, personalities in the field of art, science and culture, environment and others. Besides performing schools in cultural/dance and parade.
Similar celebrations were also held at different sub divisions/ Tehsil Headquarters anf Block headquarter where BDC persons, Sub Divisional Magistrate and Tehsildars unfurled the Tricolor and took salute at the march past.
